Our husky’s coolest corner

Our adopted husky, Nala, lives with us in a one-bedroom apartment near Málaga.

During our first summer together, we moved the sofa away from the coolest tiled corner and fitted blinds to reduce the afternoon sun. We had the air conditioning serviced and placed her bed where she could choose between it and the bare tiles.

We plan longer walks for cooler hours and adjust them when the weather stays hot. Indoors, we cleared floor space for quiet games and put a washable runner near her water bowl.

The funniest part is that, after all our careful furniture arranging, her favourite spot is still exactly where I used to put my feet.
