Rabbit litter habits in a room with a carpet?
My landlord will not let me remove the carpet. My rabbit is mostly litter trained but there are accidents in one corner. Has anyone solved this without covering the whole floor?

You should not need to cover the whole carpet. Since the accident happened in one corner, place the litter box there and protect only the area immediately around it.
Use a simple three-layer setup:
- A washable rug or absorbent pad on top - An absorbent layer in the middle - A shallow waterproof tray underneath, extending beyond the front and sides of the litter box.
For accidents, blot up as much urine as possible and then use a pet-safe enzymatic cleaner suitable for carpet, following the product instructions. Test it on a hidden area first, and keep your rabbit away until the carpet is completely dry and the room has been ventilated.
If a previously litter-trained rabbit suddenly begins having more accidents or urinates unusually often, contact a rabbit-experienced vet to rule out a urinary or mobility problem.
