Can Ferrets Live in a Studio Apartment?

If you live with ferrets in a studio, how do you provide a secure living area and daily opportunities to explore and play? How do you manage sleeping places, litter trays and the boundary between their space and yours?

Please share the number of ferrets, the approximate apartment size and the parts of the home they can use. What was hardest to ferret-proof: furniture, appliances, small gaps or the entrance door?

We would like honest accounts of odour, cleaning, company and veterinary access as well as the enjoyable parts.

Thanks in advance.
