What My ockatoo Taught Me About Quiet Mornings

Living with a parrot in a small apartment is mostly a lesson in routine. My cockatoo lives with me in a 32 m² flat in Melbourne.

Her cage is only where she sleeps. During the day she is on a stand by the window, where the view provides plenty of entertainment: birds, trees and passing trams. Foraging toys made from paper cups also help to keep her busy while I am out.
