Saying goodbye to my ferret in a small Studio
My ferret died last month. In a 16 m² studio every corner reminds me of him. I would like to hear how other people living in small homes have coped with losing a pet

I went through something similar after losing my pet in a very small apartment. What I found hardest was that every corner reminded me of him. I didn’t try to remove all those reminders. Instead, I changed a few small things around and kept one special place with a favourite photo. Over time, the apartment started to feel like my home again, while still holding the memories of our life together. Talking about him with people who understood pet loss also helped me a lot.

Andrés, I’m so sorry about your ferret. When you live in one room, there’s no way to step away from all the places you shared. You don’t have to change the room or put his things away before you’re ready. If it feels right, you could choose one small place for a favourite photo or something that reminds you of him. What was his name?
