Small Spaces, Big Love

Pets in Wonderland is a worldwide community for people living with pets in small spaces. A place to share real experiences, ask questions and discover how people around the world make life with their pets work in smaller homes. There are no perfect answers and no single way of doing things — just real experiences from people who have been there.

Pets in Wonderland began with a simple frustration: almost all pet advice assumes a house with a garden. Most of the world does not live like that. We live in studios, rented rooms, city flats, mobile homes and shared apartments — and we still share our lives with animals.

This is a place for those homes. People write about what actually happens: where the litter box goes, how they walk a big dog from a fifth floor, what the neighbours said, what they would do differently. Nothing is glossy and nothing is sponsored.

What we believe

A small home is not automatically a bad home. What matters is whether an animal's needs are genuinely met — space to move, stimulation, rest, company, and care. Sometimes the honest answer is that a particular animal does not suit a particular home, and we let people say that kindly.

How moderation works

Every story, question and reply is read by a human before it appears. We check for kindness, safety and honesty, and we remove anything that promotes cruelty, sells things, or attacks people. We are a community of experience, not a veterinary service.
